Milia

Milia found around eyes and face can be easily removed, quickly and effectively Instant visible results to improve the look and feel of your skin

Milia are small, white (or sometimes pale yellow) spots that usually appear around the eyes, on the cheeks, eyelids, forehead and anywhere on the face where there is general dryness. Apart from making people worry about their appearance, milia aren’t harmful and don’t need to be medically treated in any way. They are usually due to the skin’s natural secretion process being blocked by dead skin cells. As this process naturally continues, the keratin and sebum produced form a hard white bump under the skin, and this just gets bigger until it is visible on the surface of the skin. Once it becomes visible it can easily be professionally removed.

How does it work?

Milia can be treated with Cryotherapy, but a professional salon treatment to extract the milia is usually far more effective. This is also a better method for treating larger areas, producing good results with no damage to the skin.

How long before results can be seen?

The skin may form small scabs where the milia have been extracted as the skin has to be slightly broken to extract them. The skin is prepared sufficiently and they are taken out in a specific way to avoid damaging underlying blood vessels, and causing too much trauma to the skin. Sometimes there is no scabbing at all, but if there is, this will usually heal within 4-5 days.
